Developing the company logo

To begin with our group brainstormed some ideas of what our company name could be. Being as our team name is Team Vader a lot of our ideas were based off Darth Vader, the Empire and the Force. The ideas highlighted in red where the ideas that we favoured and the ones in the two separate colours were our two final ideas. Force-full Television was our favoured idea as it worked really well with our team name. 'Force' linking to Darth Vaders ability and 'Force-full' links heavily with how an Empire reigns with an iron fist. The name of our company is very catchy and stands out whilst perfectly fitting the name of there team.

This was the photo that I used a reference and inspiration for my first logo.

At first I used the lasso tool and highlighted the area of the picture I wanted to use.

Then using the threshold filter I was able to create a black and white effect over the picture. However, at first I didn't do it right as it had selected the part I didn't want.

I then created a new page and dragged the highlighted part of the picture into the new page where I then applied the threshold tool again, but this time with the result I wanted.

Using Dafont I was able to find a font that I thought was appropriate and by using the magic wand tool I cut out the area I needed.

I then pieced it together to give this final result.

These were the two photos I used as inspiration to create my second company logo idea.

Following the instructions in this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4yKcxSfkiQ , I was able to create my final logo. As you can see I used many layers and different windows to create this and the  process was far longer than the last one but I was more happy with the results.

This is the final result of the second logo.
